Fort Madison Police Report

5/23/19 - 6:06 p.m - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of larceny/ theft in the 1500 block of Ave. M.

5/23/19 - 7:40 p.m - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 3100 block of Ave. K.

5/23/19 - 8:11 p.m - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 2800 block of Ave. A.

Lee County Sheriff's Report

5/23/19 - 9:10 a.m - Anthony Ray Boatwright, 59, of Montrose was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief, second at the Lee County Sheriff's Office. He was taken to Lee County Jail and released the same day on pre-trial rel.

5/23/19 - 12:46 p.m - Skyler Dwayne Stark, 31, of Montrose was arrested on charges of eluding-injury, OWI, offense, driving under suspension, failure to maintain control, speeding, drive wrong side of 2-way hwy, and fail-continuous turn signal at the Lee County Sheriff's Office. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

5/23/19 - There was a 3 car accident on Hwy 103. Vehicle 1, driven by Michele Lee Gilpin, 48, of Danville was driving westbound on Hwy 103 with their turn signal on, preparing to turn into a driveway. Vehicle 2, driven by Jennifer Lynn Leggett, 35, of West Point, and Vehicle 3, driven by Jacob Kenneth Miller, 22, of West Point, were approaching Vehicle 1 from behind. Miller rear-ended Leggett in the driver's side back bumper and pushed Leggett off the roadway to the right. Miller then proceeded to rear end Gilpin's vehicle in the passenger side back bumper as well. White paint transferred from Miller's vehicle onto both Leggett's and Gilpin's. No injuries were reported. Miller's vehicle was disabled and was towed via private arrangement. Gilpin was issued a citation for operating a non-registered vehicle and Miller was issued a citation for following to closely.

5/24/19 - 3:21 a.m - Marly Mae-Jean Jones, 19, of Wheatland was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation at the Fast Break in Fort Madison. She was taken to Lee County Jail and held.
