LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Conservation District has released a full line-up of summer events and activities for residents of all ages, including a new online camp sign-up at www.mycountyparks.com.

June begins with LCC’s newest camp, a FREE weekly series called Park Explorers for kids who have completed grades K-5. Two conveniently located camp series will be offered – one at Rand Park in Keokuk on Mondays and the other at Ivanhoe Park in Fort Madison on Wednesdays. Visit www.mycountyparks.com to sign-up for these free camps.

Fridays will bring Preschool Story Time to the Lee County Conservation Center from 9-10 a.m. No sign-up is required for this free program for three- to five-year-olds.

LCC will also be offering their Wilson Lake day camps for kids who have just completed grades K-1, 2-3 and 4-5. The overnight Outdoor Adventure Camp will again be offered for grades 6-8. Sign-up online.

And don’t forget to attend one of LCC’s public programs! There will be a Director’s Paddle at Pollmiller Beach on June 8th, a pollinator field day in Keokuk on June 17th, youth archery at the Lee County Fair Kids’ Day on July 12, and a fishing tournament at Pollmiller on August 17.

Summer’s major blow-out, Family Fun Night, will be at Pollmiller Beach on June 28 from 6-8 p.m. This fundraiser for Pollmiller’s new playground should not be missed. There will be live musical entertainment, canoeing and swimming, as well as grills filled with food.
