Mr. R. Joseph Quick Jr., 33, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa.

Joseph was born on April 22, 1986 in Burlington, Iowa the son of R. Joseph Sr. and Debbie Porter Quick.

Joe was a 2004 graduate of the Dallas City High School. Following high school he worked as welder for Case in Burlington and later did mechanical work. He enjoyed working on and collecting cars, camping, music, fishing, mushrooming and spending time on the river.

Joe especially loved his children.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn, four children, Gabriella and Robert Joseph Quick III both of Fort Madison, Elizabeth Mary Quick and Catherine Lynn Quick both of West Point, Iowa, his father, R. Joseph Quick Sr. of Burlington, his mother and step-father, Debbie and Charlie Newman of Dallas City, grandparents, Dave Johnson of Dallas City and James Eugene Quick of Ellisville, Illinois, four siblings, Amber (Jason) Moats of Mt. Union, Iowa, Angela (Cody) Coey of Rome, Iowa, Anthony (Brittany) Siefken of Fort Madison and Bailey (Matt) Dunkin of Burlington and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Fr. Tony Trosley and Josh Yeakey officiating.
