Virginia Edlen, 90, of Kahoka died Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.

She was born November 20, 1928 in Kahoka the daughter of Arless and Vera Shelton Parrish. On June 27, 1946 Virginia was united in marriage to Lewis Edlen in Kahoka. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2009.

     Virginia was the housekeeping supervisor at the Clark County Nursing Home for several years.

     She was a member of the Kahoka United Methodist Church.

     Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She liked working in her garden and cooking.

     She is survived by two daughters, Carol McCarty (Steve) of Keystone Heights, FL and Sherry Harrison of Kahoka, five grandchildren, Loren Harrison, Milton (Starla) McCarty, Stephenie (Jimmy) Anastassiadis, Jennifer Gregory (Matt) and Wayne Edlen, six great grandchildren, George Anastassiadis, James Anastassiadis, Stephen Anastassiadis, Mary Anastassiadis, Ian McCarty and Ivan Gregory. 

      Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents and her son, Steven Edlen. 

     Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Barb Hagerla officiating. Burial will be in the Kahoka Cemetery.

     Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. with the family meeting with friends at that time.
