06/07/19 - 3:45 a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 3400 block of Avenue P.

06/07/19 - 11:38 a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1300 block of 21st Street.

06/07/19 - 2 p.m. - Fort Madison Police arrested Mathew Rohan Boone, 33, of Fort Madison in the 2900 block of Avenue K, on charge of violation of a no-contact order. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

06/07/19 - 4:35 p.m. - Fort Madison Police arrested Kenneth Sommerfield, 57, of Fort Madison in the 3000 block of Avenue N, on a charge of domestic serious abuse. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

06/07/19 - 5:17 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 1200 block of Avenue H.

06/07/19 - 7:27 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1100 block of 24th Street.

06/07/19 - 9:25 p.m. - Fort Madison Police cited Jennifer Ann Schier, 31, of Fort Madison, on charges of driving under suspension and operation without registration. She was released upon citation.

06/08/19 - 4:04 a.m. - Fort Madison Police arrested Anthony Leroy Bernard, 29, of Donnellson, in the 1100 block of 29th Street on warrants for failure to appear. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

06/09/19 - 10:38 a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 3100 block of Avenue J.

06/10/19 - 8:05 a.m. - Fort Madison Police arrested Adrian Raul Garcia, 41, of Fort Madison, in the 2800 block of Avenue K, on a charge of driving while barred and a warrant service. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

06/10/19 - 10:26. a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 900 block of Avenue H.

06/10/19 - 12:51 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 2000 block of 303rd Avenue.

06/10/19 - 7:15 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1100 block of 48th Street.

06/10/19 - 10:40 p.m. - Fort Madison Police cited Addyson Lynn Shackleford, 19, of Fort Madison at the intersection of 20th Street and Avenue L, on a charge of driving while suspended. He was cited and released.

Lee County Sheriff's Report

06/06/19 - 5:19 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 2600 block of Chalk Ridge Road. A vehicle driven by Courtney Ann Dalton, 24, of Fort Madison, lost control on loose grave and slid into the ditch striking a tree stump. Vehicle was towed and injury was reported.

06/06/19 - 11:24 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on 255th Street. A vehicle driven by Nathan Robert Simmons, 41, of Mt. Pleasant and a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Michael Fasching, 38, of Fort Madison were traveling southbound on 260th Street from Hwy. 61 when Fasching was stopped by a semi hauling a wind blade. According to the report, Fasching backed up and struck Simmons vehicle. No injuries were reported and minor damage was sustained by Simmons vehicle.

06/07/19 - 11:49 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Heather Leann Guinard, 33, of Burlington, at the sheriff's office on a warrant for contempt of court. She was taken to the Lee County Jail and released on bond.

06/08/19 - 1:52 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Joseph Montgomery Walte, 37, of Salem, in the 2100 block of Hwy. 2 in Donnellson on charges of interference with officials acts and OWI-1st offense. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and released on his recognizance.

06/09/19 - no time listed - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Larry Darnel Bagby, 40, of Denmark, at the Des Moines County Jail in Burlington on a warrrant for contempt of court. He was released on bond.

06/09/19 - 12:34 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Casey Dewane Sturm, 32, of LaGrange, Mo., at the sheriff's office on warrants for aggravated theft-1st offense and interference with official acts. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

06/10/19 - 6:08 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Thomas Michael Bowdre, 25, of Morning Sun, at the Salem Stub, on a charge of contempt of court. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

06/10/19 - 7:43 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Hilton Road. A vehicle driven by Howard Eugene Hill, 55, of Keokuk, lost control due to a mechanical failure causing the vehicle to enter a ditch and ramp a driveway entrance damaging a mailbox. No injuries were reported and Hill was cited for no proof of insurance.
