King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary – Dale Thomas Fincher, 72, Fort Madison

IN REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WE LOVE

Dale Thomas Fincher, 72, of Ft. Madison passed away on Thursday, July 04, 2019 at 5:25 AM at the Great River Hospice House.

FINCHER

He was born on August 30, 1946 in Burlington, IA to Glenn and Mildred Brown Fincher.  On May 10, 1969 he married Marilyn Conlee in Montrose. Dale was an Industrial Mechanic and worked at Dial where he retired after thirty five years of service.  He was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan.  Dale enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and watching local and NASCAR racing. In his retirement years he created custom design writing instruments. Most of all Dale loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

   Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Fincher of Ft. Madison; one son, Michael (Christi) Fincher of Ft. Madison; two daughters, Diana (Scott Burch) Fincher-Smith of Ft. Madison and Peggy (Brad) Phillips of West Burlington; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Kyla, Chayton, Raegan, Dylan, Lanie and MaKayla.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David; two sisters in infancy; a niece and his mother and father in law. 

   The family will meet with friends on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 1 PM until 3 PM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The graveside service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11 AM at Montrose Cemetery with Reverend Dean Graber officiating.
