LCCD programs still have room for campers

Posted

MONTROSE - Lee County Conservation is still accepting registrations for its two most popular summer camps. Sign-up for both camps is online at www.mycountyparks.com.

First up is Dark Wings Night Camp for kids who have completed grades 2-5. On July 9 from 7-10 p.m. we will stuff ourselves with s’mores and explore the night woods of Wilson Lake and see how our senses match up with those of the animals watching us.

And on July 25-26 will be our overnight Outdoor Adventure Camp at Wilson Lake for youth who have completed grades 6-8. We’ll camp in tents and practice outdoor skills such as archery, shooting, hiking, kayaking, and s’more eating.

To sign up for any of the camps visit www.mycountyparks.com. More information and program details are available on Lee County Conservation’s Facebook page or by calling (319) 463-7673.
