Helen Ann Liddle, 91 years, of  Wever, Iowa died at 1:15 am Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Kensington, Fort Madison, Iowa.  She was born December 30, 1927 in Cherokee County, Iowa, a daughter of Luther and Celia (Holmes) Miller.  On October 26, 1947, she married Edgar Frank Liddle in Marcus, Iowa.

After graduating from Marcus High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City and later a Master of Science Degree from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois.  She taught for 36 years in the Burlington Community School District.  She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church, Fort Madison.  She was a member of P.E.O., Chapter BS.

She is survived by her son, Greg (Dee) Liddle, of Wever, one granddaughter, Tammy (Freeman) Brown and two great granddaughters: Kaitlin and Kennedy.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Union Presbyterian Church, Fort Madison, with Reverend Nancy Love officiating.  Her friends are invited to greet the family and join them for a meal at the church following the memorial service.  A private family burial will be at the Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.  A memorial has been established for the Union Presbyterian Church, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison or at the church during the services.  Online condolences to the Liddle Family may be made at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
