Fort Madison Police Report

07/25/19 – 4:04 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a personal injury accident at the intersection of 20th Street and Avenue I.

07/25/19 – 10:10 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a personal injury accident in the 5400 block of Avenue O.

07/25/19 – 10:10 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Jessie Marie Smith-Maddox, 43, of Fort Madison at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and 53rd Street on charges of failure to maintain control, no seatbelt, no insurance, failure to obey traffic light (accident related). She was released upon citation.

07/25/19 – 11:45 p.m. – Fort Madison Police cited Jessie Marie Smith-Maddox, 43, of Fort Madison at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and 53rd Street on a charge of 3rd-degree harassment. She was released upon citation.

Lee County Sheriff’s Report

07/24/19 – 2:47 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Cody John Lutzen, 33, of Keokuk, in the 800 block of Valley Street in Burlington, on warrants for violation of probation. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

07/25/19 – 3:09 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of 205th Avenue. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Dalton Kenneth Tweedy, 19, of Keokuk struck a vehicle driven by Andrew Weisinger, no age or address provided. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and Tweedy was taken into custody on charges of operating while intoxicated-1st offense and he was cited for failure to maintain control. No injuries were reported.

Those listed above are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
