FM YMCA opens registration for Stampede 5K

FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Family YMCA is hosting their 10th Annual Rodeo Stampede 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, September 7th preceding the Annual Tri-State Rodeo Parade in downtown Fort Madison.
The Rodeo Stampede 5K Run/Walk is a Tri-State Rodeo tradition among community members and rodeo visitors alike. The event begins and ends in front of Faeth’s Cigar Store in downtown Fort Madison. Participants will run/walk 3.1 miles from 8th Street to 23rd Street, to 6th Street then returning to 8th Street.


Our Corporate Challenge will take place once again. Area businesses are encourage to form a team and compete for the Corporate Challenge Trophy!
5K Divisions:
Male 14 & Under; Female 14 & Under; Male 15-19; Female 15-19; Male 20-29; Female 20-29; Male 30-39; Female 30-39; Male 40-49; Female 40-49; Male 50-59; Female 50-59; Male 60+; Female 60+
A half mile run/walk is also available for our younger participants ages 12 and under starting at 7:45am on Saturday, September 7th. This run will take place on the closed streets of downtown. All participants will receive a participation medal.
Registration is now open. Advanced registration cost is $20 on or before Friday, August 23rd, after which late registrations will be accepted with an additional $5 fee through the day of the event. Participants may register online by visiting the Y’s website at www.fortmadisony.org , in person during regular office hours, or by mail to:
