WEST BURLINGTON - Southeastern Community College recently named Dr. Ashlee Spannagel as its new Dean of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Workforce Development.

Spannagel comes to SCC after working in education for nine years, most recently as the Delabar CTE System Director in Monmouth, IL. In her new position, she will expand on the relationships that have been established with area educators, industry leaders, and workforce and economic development partners to continue building opportunities for students.

Spannagel is looking forward to leading the CTE division and working with faculty, K-12 educators, and area employers to ensure SCC provides top-notch, industry-level educational experiences to students.

“It’s my goal to ensure we provide every opportunity we can for students to learn the skills and abilities they’ll need to succeed in their careers and in life,” Spannagel says.

SCC President Dr. Michael Ash is pleased to have Spannagel on the team.

“Ashlee hit the ground running. The SCC team has accomplished our goals so far with can-do personalities like hers,” he says. “It’s great to have her on board.”

Spannagel says she’s honored to work at the college.

“Career and technical education is a passion of mine. I’m very excited to be part of this exceptional team and build upon our strengths and the programming already offered.”
