FORT MADISON - Two new patrol officers for the Fort Madison Police Department were sworn in Monday afternoon at the South Lee County Courthouse by 8th District Judge Michael Schilling.
Brent Vogelgesang, 44, formerly of Danville, and Greg Warosh, 28 of Fort Madison took their oath at 3 p.m. with current interim Fort Madison Police Chief Stacy Weber, FMPD detective David Doyle, Lee County Sheriff Chief Deputy Will Conlee and Deputy Craig Burch.
Vogelgesang is a former LeeComm dispatcher and Warosh is a former employee at Roquette. Both were looking for a career change. The two will both attend the police academy and should graduate in the middle of December and then will start with FMPD the following week.
