James “Jim” Crabtree, 65 of Keokuk, IA died Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Unity Point Health-Keokuk.

He was born January 1, 1954 in Keokuk, IA the son of Marvin and Ruth Lewis Crabtree. On December 31, 1980 he was united in marriage to Marie Feikert in Keokuk. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Jimmy Feikert and Heath Feikert both of Keokuk, one daughter, Devan Feikert-Stewart of Aiken, S.C., seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six sisters and two brothers and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Jim had been employed by Keokuk Prototype Foundry and Gateway Terminal, both in Keokuk, until his retirement.
He loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could fishing and hunting. He was an expert bow hunter. He also enjoyed hunting mushrooms and ginseng, Jim made his own smoker and smoked the fish, deer and turkey from his hunting trips. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with family meeting with friends at that time.
