FORT MADISON - Rob Sandburg shot a one-under 35 on the final nine holes of Saturday's Kempker's Open to win the championship flight.

Sandburg shot a sparkling 67 on the first 18 to qualify him for the top spot in the championship flight. The 35 gave him a combined 102 on the 27-hole format. Matt Cox had the best final nine with a three-under 33, but was on par with a 72 on the first 18.

"It feels good to finally get that one," Sandburg said. "When you play Sheaffer's and hit your driver down the middle you can score."
