LEE COUNTY – Fort Madison Community Hospital is dedicated to ensuring the safety and good health of the students in the communities that we serve. This summer, health care professionals from FMCH went onsite to the area schools to provide Athletic Screenings for student athletes.

A total of 222 middle and high school students took advantage of this opportunity and received an athletic screening that consisted of a physical exam; vitals including blood pressure, height, weight, body mass index and blood sugar; strength, concussion baseline, range of motion and posture screening all provided by FMCH healthcare professionals.

As part of their partnership with the schools, FMCH donated half of the proceeds from the Athletic Screenings back to Fort Madison Schools and Central Lee Schools for a total donation of $ 5,320.

Fort Madison Community Hospital encourages students to participate in school activities to maintain both mental and physical good health.
