FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital Birthplace will host a Mommy & Baby Gear Fair on Saturday, September 28 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. This event will take place in the Conference rooms of the Business Center, lower level east addition at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

The Mommy & Baby Gear Fair was conceived with new and expectant parents in mind but anyone wanting to see first-hand what is new in the world of baby gear is welcome to attend.

“Products and information for raising a healthy baby seem to be constantly changing and evolving. We hear all of the time from our new and expectant parents about their confusion on choosing the right products for them and their baby. We wanted to provide an opportunity for mommies and daddies to try out some of these products before making the investment in them,” commented Neva Koechle, RN, Certified Lactation Consultant, and organizer of the event. “We contacted suppliers of baby gear and had great response in receiving products to be showcased or given as door prizes.”

Car seats, bottles, breast pumps and clothing are just some of the items that will be available to check out. There will also be a number of experts on hand to talk about car seat safety, nutrition for babies and toddlers, vaccinations, allergies and the importance of reading.

There will be door prizes and a light snack. A complete list of products and presenters at the event can be found on the Fort Madison Community Hospital Facebook page.
