Burlington airport gets $135K runway grant

WASHINGTON. – Congressman Dave Loebsack announced today that the Southeast Iowa Regional Airport will receive an $135,267 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant program. This funding will be used for design review and construction inspection of the runway reconstruction project.

“The Southeast Iowa Regional Airport plays a critical role in fueling economic development in the area, allowing the community to continue to grow,” said Loebsack. “I am pleased the Southeast Iowa Regional Airport is receiving the final portion of their grant to finish the runway reconstruction. I look forward to seeing the finished project!”
