LEE COUNTY – This past weekend Lee County Conservation hosted a two-part youth waterfowl hunt event for area youth.
The first part was held on Friday night at the Tri-State Gun Club. During this portion of the event, the kids reviewed hunting regulations, discussed boat safety, and practiced shooting.
On Saturday morning, the kids, mentors, and some parents headed out into the backwaters of the Mississippi to experience waterfowl hunting first hand. All the participants had a successful hunt.
Lee County Conservation would like to thank Climax Molybdenum, Tri-State Gun Club, Dan’s Pawn and Gun Shop, Ducks Unlimited, Iowa DNR, Three Rivers Conservation Foundation, and the volunteers who helped make this event possible.
