ALBIA - Junior quarterback Blake Chance threw for seven touchdowns as the Blue Demons rolled over Central Lee 49-18 Friday night.

The Blue Demons (1-5) jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead capped off by a Chance to Blake Stewart 47-yard touchdown play with 2:23 left.

Central Lee would score early in the second quarter at the 11:15 mark when senior Adam Boeck found TJ Stutes for the Hawks' first throwing touchdown of the year and cut the lead to 21-7.

But Chance would go right back to work and hook up on a 20-yard touchdown and then score two more times in the quarter on 5 and 4 yard touchdown tosses sandwiched around a Boeck goal line run for a 42-12 halftime lead.

Central Lee would come out the locker room and march down the field to the 1 where Boeck would again bull his way into the endzone. The Hawks kept the Demons aerial attack in check in the third period, but Albia still held the lead 42-18.

Chance would hook up with Nathanial Wynn for a touchdown for the third time of the night with 5:30 left in the game to set the final score at 49-18.

The Hawks would rush the ball 47 times for 274 yards, but were only 1 of 8 for 16 yards through the air. Westercamp and Boeck were both over the century mark on the ground with Westercamp chewing up 115 yards and Boeck rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns.

Boeck has five touchdowns on the year on the ground and has thrown for one. Westerkamp has the other Hawks offensive TD.

Senior Evan Pohren had 5.5 tackles on the night, but three were sacks of Chance.

The Hawks host Williamsburg on Friday for their first home game in three weeks. The Raiders (3-3) beat Mid-Prairie 28-6 on Friday.
