Lady Hawks sweep Cardinal

DONNELLSON - The Central Lee Lady Hawks (18-8) beat Cardinal 25-12, 25-10, 25-7 at home Thursday night.

Mya Merschman was 20-21 hitting with 11 kills and four blocks. She also served 12 of 12 with an ace. Meghan Hopp had 10 kills and a couple blocks for Central Lee.

Zoe Eschman had 33 assists to lead Central Lee in the midcourt and was also 16 of 16 serving with three aces and five digs.

Kaylynn Summers was 17 of 20 with 10 kills, a block and 2 digs.

For Cardinal, senior Maddie Cloke was 20 of 22 attacking with 8 kills. Trista Benedict was 9 of 16 with a kill. Maddy Langford had eight assists.

The Lady Hawks take on Danville on the road Thursday night.
