Hancock County Sheriff looking into stabbing incident

HANCOCK COUNTY – On Sunday, October 13, 2019 at approximately 1:15 a.m. Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies were called to North Lexington Street in Plymouth, Illinois for the report of a stabbing.

The victim, a 33 year old male, was located in the street and had been stabbed several times. He was taken to Blessing Hospital by Air Evac where he was treated and released.

Deputies attempted to interview multiple intoxicated individuals on scene that were involved in the altercation and they were only able to provide limited information as to what happened.

This incident is still under investigation. Anyone that may have witnessed this altercation or has video pertaining to this incident, please contact the Hancock County Sheriffs Office at 217-357-2115.

  1. There Is a pretty good chance if you are drunk and fighting in the street at 1:15 a.m. in Plymouth Illinois, things aren’t going very well in your life. May be time to reevaluate your choices.
