Downtown business gearing up for FM Wine & Beer Walk

FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Wine & Beer Walk will take place Friday Nov. 22nd from 5-8:00 pm. “We’re celebrating our 10th year doing this event” says Tim Gobble, Fort Madison Partners Executive Director, “we have more locations and vendors that we’ve ever had serving up regional flavors for you to enjoy at a variety of locations in the Historic Downtown Avenue G District”.

Participating vendor/producers include: Ardon Creek Winery, Christian Herschler District Winery, Eagles Landing Winery, East Grove Farms Winery, Exile Brewing Co., Fareway, Firetrucker Brewing Co, Fishback & Stephenson Ciders, Front Street Brewing Co, Golden Eagle Distributors, Green Frog Distillery, Hy-Vee, Iowa Brewing Company, Keg Creek Brewing Co, Lake Hill Winery, Lindon Winery, Lost Duck Brewing Co., Parkside Brewing Co, Peace Tree Brewing Co., Stone Cliff Winery, Tassel Ridge Winery, V’s Restaurant and Brew Pub, Wooden Wheel Winery.

The “Early Bird Glass Sale Event” will be held at the 2019 Event Sponsor, River Rocks Bar & Grill, from 5-7:00 pm this Friday, November 15th. This will be the ONLY night to get your commemorative 2019 (which has the new logo design) glass at the $10.00 price. After the 15th, the glasses will be available at the Partners office, Funky Cowgirl or Under the Sun during regular business hours. The purchase of a glass will include a vendor listing map and a “Golden Ticket”, which is valid at participating downtown businesses for $5.00 off a purchase of $30.00 starting November 23rd through December 7th. Due to age restrictions, each participant must be present to show proper I.D.
Participating downtown businesses with a vendor include: Artisans Next Door, River Rocks Bar & Grill, Dana Bushong Jewelers, Dodd Printing & Stationery, Dollhouse Dreams, Faeth Cigar Store, Griffin Muffler & Brake Center, Fort Madison Area Arts Association, The Funky Cowgirl, Junque to Gems, International Eye Care, 10th St., Group Benefit Partners, Victoria Gallery Tea Room, Kingsley Inn, Lost Duck Brewing Company, Parthenon Pizza, Old Fort Players, Rev Fitness, Sheaffer Pen Museum, Harvestville Mercantile, and Under the Sun Next Door. Additional downtown locations, including STAG, Vitality, Elliot Test Kitchen, The Furniture Store, Moose Lodge and the Elks Club, will be open with their own little concoctions to share with event goers.
We don’t want to leave out the eating establishments in the District, there’s something for every taste bud. Many establishments will be providing “grab-and-go” items for sale to help curb that appetite while on the walk. If you prefer a more relaxed setting, to enjoy a nice sit-down menu style meal- that is available too! Many restaurants and clubs will be open for the evening including Simple Table, Taste of China, Knights of Columbus, Fort Diner, River Rocks Bar & Grill, Lost Duck, & Choung Gardens to name a few.
