Reichman presents DAR group with 911 flag

FORT MADISON - In remembrance of Veteran's Day and the 244th anniversary of the Marine Corp, Lt. Col. Jeff Reichman USMC-Res spoke to the Jean Espy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at their November meeting.

A Keokuk native, Lt. Col. Reichman is a 27 year member of the Marine Corp and has completed two tours of duty in Iraq. Lt. Col. Reichman has eleven years active duty in the Marine Corps and sixteen years in the USMC Reserves.

Lt Col. Reichman also recently announced he is running for state office in 42nd District of the Iowa Senate which is located in southeastern Iowa, and is currently composed of Henry, Jefferson, Lee, and Washington counties.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage society for women who can prove direct descent from a Revolutionary War Patriot. Anyone interested in researching their ancestry for a patriot lineage is encouraged to contact the chapter and seek membership. The Jean Espy Chapter of the DAR is located in Lee County, Iowa.
