FMMS boys take one from Fairfield

FORT MADISON - Caden Barnes and Aiden Mitchell combined for 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Fort Madison Middle School 7th graders 'A' team to a win 46-34 win over Fairfield Thursday night at home.

Barnes had 11 points and Mitchell 10. Dayton Lamar had nine, Marcus Guzman and eight and Julian Dear chipped in with four in the win. Brody Cashman and Jon Lynk each scored a bucket for the Little Hounds.

Lamar led Fort Madison in rebounds with eight.

In the 'B' game Noah Swigart led Fort Maidson with seven points in a 15-25 loss. Chandler Fullencamp had four points, and Kalib Heibreider and Joseph Fuller each scored two points. Kenden Bowie led Fort Madison with three rebounds.

The Hounds also lost the 'C' game 2-14 with Jack Johnstun scoring the only bucket.

FMMS got swept on Monday at Keokuk. Fort Madison lost the 'A' game 29-26 with six players scoring led by Guzman with seven and Brody Cashman with six. Lamar again led on the boards with eight rebounds.

Keokuk took the 'B' game 37-13. Tatum Schelic had seven to lead Fort Madison. The Chiefs also won the 'C' game 20-2.
