Fort Madison woman wins $50K in scratch off

CLIVE, Iowa — A Lee County woman has won a $50,000 prize.Elizabeth Long of Fort Madison won the sixth top prize in the Iowa Lottery’s “$50,000 Holiday Crossword” scratch game.

She purchased her winning ticket at Hy-Vee, 2606 Ave. L in Fort Madison, and claimed her prize on Monday at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids.

The $50,000 Holiday Crossword is a $5 scratch game. It features 13 top prizes of $50,000 and overall odds of 1 in 3.53. Nonwinning holiday scratch tickets can be entered into the lottery’s Ho Ho Dough Play it Again®promotion from now through Jan. 7 at 8:59 a.m.
