FMCH welcomes first baby of 2020

FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital Birthplace welcomed their first newborn of 2020! Piper Elyse Harmon was born on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 6:06 p.m.

Proud parents are Valaree and Burke Harmon. Piper will join siblings Bentley and Karsyn at home in Keokuk, Iowa. Dr. Yadira Garcia of the FMCH Women’s Center was the attending physician. Piper entered the world weighing 7 pound and was 20.5 inches long.

The FMCH Birthplace averages over 250 births each year.
