Washington doubles up Lady Hounds

WASHINGTON - The Fort Madison girls were held to just seven points through the second and third quarters as Washington recorded a 46-23 win Friday night at home.

The Lady Hounds trailed 8-5 after the first quarter getting a 3-pointer from freshman Camille Kruse and a bucket from Brandy Walker.

The Lady Demons then clamped down on Fort Madison giving up another three and a bucket to Kruse and Walker, and three free throws for the next two periods to run out to a 32-13 lead going into the final period.

Kruse would finish with a team-high 10 points including four of the teams final seven points as Washington cruised to the win.

Walker finished with five points, followed by Isabella Boeding with four, Molly Knipe had three and Nadia Boeding added one to round out the scoring for Fort Madison.

Josie Tanner and Olivia Pacha each had a dozen to lead Washington

The Hounds (4-5, 0-4) host Mt. Pleasant on Friday in junior varsity/varsity contest.
