FORT MADISON – The Fort Madison Green Team is holding a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization One Tree Planted. Green Team members will be selling custom made PuraVida bracelets, in which all proceeds will go to One Tree Planted.

One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organization focused on reforestation efforts around the globe. For every dollar donated, a tree is planted in an area of the donor’s choice. This year the green team is choosing to plant trees in the United States, and will choose a specific location through a club vote. Choices include Colorado, California, Oregon, Florida, various national forests, and Appalachia.

The fundraiser will run from January 20th through the 31st. Each bracelet costs $7. Donations are also welcome! To place an order, contact Savanna Collier at the Fort Madison Chamber of Commerce, or any Green Team member. Please note, delivery of bracelets can take up to 10 weeks, as each bracelet is handcrafted for the Green Team.

Green Team events are made possible through their community sponsor, Axalta coating systems, and through coordination efforts through the Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce
