CENTRAL LEE - Mya Merschman put up 32 points and went 8-of-9 at the free throw line, but couldn't catch up to Class 3A No. 10 West Burlington in a 66-60 loss Tuesday night at Central Lee High School.

Merschman would continue to pound away at the Falcon's interior defense putting up 17 more in the second half included 5-of-5 from the free throw line to cut the gap to five with a minute left in the 3rd.

West Burlington would extend the lead back seven in the early going of the fourth. Dzawo would put up 10 more in the second half before fouling out and then Central Lee (9-7) cut the lead to two points with four minutes left in the game.

The Falcons would then put a 13-9 run together the rest of the way to seal the win, despite Central Lee outscoring the visitors 31-27 in the second half.
