WAYLAND - The probably underrated, 17-0 WACO boys basketball team rolled to an easy 64-32 win over Holy Trinity Catholic Thursday night.

The 6th ranked Class 1A Warriors got 18 from Pietro Vannini and 17 from Drew Kissell in the win.

Holy Trinity only managed single-digit scoring in the first three quarters, but got 16 in the final period with Jason Thurman leading the way hitting 3-balls with game out of hand.

Thurman led Holy Trinity with 11 points, the only Crusader in double figures. Blake Crabtree had five points for HTC, while Chandler Rung, Matt Hellige and Vasin Thurman all had four. Kadin Medland, Mikey DiPrima and Colby Bredemeyer each had a bucket for HTC.

The Crusaders (6-11) take on West Burlington Tuesday night at home in a girls/boys double header.
