Patricia Heidbreder, 86of Ft. Madison passed away on Thursday, February 06, 2020 at 2:05 AM at her home.

   She was  born on July 18, 1933 in Ft. Madison to Roy and Violet Tucker Bartman.  On September 28, 1957 she married John Heidbreder in Ft. Madison and he passed away on November 11, 1990.  Patty worked at IAAP for several years and was also a bartender at Connor’s Cove.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and loved feeding hummingbirds.  She and John enjoyed spending time camping and especially loved having their grandchildren join them.  Patty enjoyed taking in stray’s whether it be animals or people.  Patty loved feeding birds, especially hummingbirds.  She served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict as a store clerk.   

   Survivors include two daughters, Lyn (Buddy) Hoenig of Montrose and Bonnie “Shelly” Heidbreder of Ft. Madison; one son, John “Rob” Heidbreder of Ft. Madison; six grandchildren, Angela, Tasha, Brandon, Brice, Braun and Christina; eight great grandchildren, Ciara, Bailey, Jessa, Jada, Gayla, Gracie, Roberto, Belle and one on the way; one step brother, Terry Dietsch of Missouri and one step sister, Tina Marshall of Iowa City.   She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. 

  Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  There will be no formal services at this time and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com
