Margaret Mary McMullen Paradise of Tampa, FL and Burlington, IA died peacefully at her home in Burlington, Iowa close to her best friend Gig and her family.  She was born March 2, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN.  She was 73 years old, way too young to leave us. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Burlington.  Mom grew up in North Minneapolis in a loving family.  Margaret attended St. Austin’s Elementary School and graduated from St. Margaret’s Academy in 1964. She attended St. Cloud State and later married James J. Paradise in 1967.

She was an amazing grandma / Nene to 6 wonderful grandkids Blake, Taylor, Jimmy, Jordyn, Samantha and Sydney.

She had a big and unique personality and made an impact on everyone that met her.  She was kind, honest, funny, generous, loving, emotional and forgiving.  She had an unconditional and intense love for family and friends that was evident by her lifelong friendships she created. They considered her the “friend with the biggest heart” and “pillar of strength”.  She was a grandma and mom to so many and always made time for everyone.

She had a love for the finer things in life, as well as traveling the world with her friends, her passion for sunshine, flip flops and sand but above all… her grandkids – their #1 FAN!  Jimmer and Gig are left with her finger prints all over their lives, and we will do our best to continue her legacy of family, faith and friends.

She is survived by Jim Jr. and Jennifer Paradise, children Jimmy, Jordyn, Sydney and Samantha and Tim and Brigitte Crabtree, children Blake and Taylor, Jim Paradise, Sr. and her sister Geraldine Smith of North Branch, Minnesota Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Fred “Mac” and Mary McMullen.. 

Nene, Grandma, GramGram, Margie, Marg, Cita, “The” Grandmother will be missed dearly…she was truly one of a kind!

There will be two celebration’s of life; Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Spirit Hollow Pavilion, Burlington, Iowa from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Sunday, March 1, 2020, 3:00 PM at the Lafayette Club on Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota.Please join friends and Family to celebrate Margie’s Life.Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory and online condolences may be left atwww.kinglynk.com
