Gehling scores 23 to lead HTC 8th graders
FORT MADISON The Holy Trinity Catholic boys 8th grade basketball team knocked off Van Buren at home 42-14 Thursday night.
Conner Gehling led the Crusaders with 23 points. Maddox Rung chipped with eight, while James Stinson and Adam Sobczak has four, and Luke Hellige added 3. The Crusaders travel to WACO Monday night.

FMMS boys split with Mt. Pleasant
Hunter Cresswell scored 10 points and had seven rebounds to lead Fort Madison in the 'A' team's 37-31 loss. Leif Boeding scored nine for the Hounds, while Carson Rashid had six, Nathan Bowen had four and Marin Rose added a bucket. Ben Ramatowski had six rebounds for Fort Madison.
In the 'B' game, the Hounds edged Mt. Pleasant 25-24 with William Bennett leading the way with five points. Jamarkus Kline, Ayden Moyers and Jahbari Starks each had four points. Henry Morris chipped in with three, Jayden Gonsalves and Richard Stocker each had two and Raymond Jaciunde-Sutton had one. Moyers led the Hounds with nine rebounds.

Hellige puts in 29 in 7th grade win
FORT MADISON - Luke Hellige scored 29 points Thursday as the HTC Crusaders 7th grade boys knocked off Van Buren 48-25. Adam Sobczak scored 15, while Brayton Schneider and Alex Hellman each added two.
