Weather forces Hounds to forfeit Regional duals
The snow that hit the area for most of the day Wednesday forced the Fort Madison Bloodhounds to forfeit their regional dual wrestling match(s) at North Scott.
According to FMHS Activities Director Jeremy Swink, when he informed Iowa High School Athletic Association officials the roads were unsafe in this part of the state he was given two options: forfeit or reschedule for Thursday. With individual districts on Saturday the school opted to forfeit rather than forcing wrestlers from FMHS and the other schools to wrestle that close to districts. Cedar Rapids Kennedy was given the win 1-0 and then North Scott downed CR Kennedy in the finals.
