What a glorious sight? The Fort Madison Food Pantry has a new roof! Fraise Roofing completed shingling on Friday, just in time for the snow!
The gutter work will be completed in the next two weeks. Thank you to all who contributed to making this possible – Climax Molybdenum (Freeport McMoran grant), Quad Cities Community Foundation (grant), Keokuk Area Community Foundation (private donation), and the ever-popular Fox Theatre Popcorn Challenge, and a little borrowing from the Pantry’s emergency account!
By the way, the Pantry is definitely open and wanting to help all those who have been affected by the virus shutdowns. All previous government restrictions regarding income, number of visits and location have been relaxed during this emergency time. Additionally, SEIBUS, as their schedule allows, is partnering with us to deliver foods to those in Fort Madison who are housebound. Call the Food Pantry at 319-372-8071 to make arrangements.
