Norma D. Marshall, 88 years, formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa died Monday, May 18, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas.   She was born November 2, 1931 at Fort Madison, Iowa, the first daughter born to Marshall Sr. and Bessie Pearl (Boyd) Wilkerson.  On October 7, 1950, she married Isaac “Ike” L. Marshall at Fort Madison, Iowa.  He preceded her in death July 31, 2005.

Mrs. Marshall  was a lifelong resident of Fort Madison,  until moving to Texas in 2005.  She joined and was baptized at the Second Baptist Church, Fort Madison where she stayed active until she relocated to Texas.  She worked in the office for Drs. Harper and Harper for 22 years.  She then went back to school and earned her LPN and went to work as a nurse at the Fort Madison Community Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1993.  

She is survived by one son: Scott (Jo) Marshall,  Arlington, Texas; one daughter, Delores (Dale) Laster, Plano, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Bobie Marshall, Carrollton, Texas; five sisters: Marjorie Jeanette Blackwell, Maywood, Illinois; Kay Hudson,  Bellwood, Illinois; Gloria (Will) Wright, San Antonio, Texas; Marcelle Cooper, Des Moines, Iowa; Bessie Charlene (Eugene Sr.) Woodfin, Sr., Westchester, Illinois; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Edwin Eugene Marshall and Harold Leroy Marshall, three brothers: Edwin Eugene Wilkerson, Donald Wilkerson and Marshall “Pete” Wilkerson, Jr.

The family of Mrs. Marshall will greet friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.  A Funeral Service will follow and begin at 12:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2020 at the funeral home with Reverends Bartlett Wilkerson and Dale Laster officiating.  Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, Iowa.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Marshall family and an online guest book may be found at  www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
