Burglary case leads to task force drug bust

KEOKUK - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk man on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
Jerry Dean Hardman III, 40, of Keokuk Iowa was arrested on May 27th, 2020 near Hilton Road and the Highway 61 bypass.

Hardman is charged with Conspiracy to Manufacture Less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine a B Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana 3rd or Subsequent Offense an Aggravated Misdemeanor, Theft 3rd Degree by Dominion or Control an Aggravated Misdemeanor, Possession of Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor, and Driving While Suspended a Simple Misdemeanor.
The arrest of Hardman stems from a burglary investigation conducted by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. A traffic stop was conducted on Hardman as a result of the investigation, which led Detectives to discover the subsequent offenses.
The Lee County Attorney’s Office, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Keokuk Police Department assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
