County to audit primary election precinct, race

LEE COUNTY - Denise Fraise, Lee County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections announces that the Auditor’s Office will hold a post-election audit for the June 2, 2020 Primary Election.

The audit will begin on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the boardroom of the Lee County Office Building located at 933 Avenue H, Fort Madison.

The purpose of the required audit is to confirm the validity of the machine counted votes, by conducting a hand count of one precinct and race selected by the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office.
