Fort Madison Police Report
07/21/20 – 6:02 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 2500 block of Avenue A.
07/22/20 – 5:39 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of 28th Street.
07/22/20 – 8:05 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1300 block of Avenue B.
07/22/20 – 10:07 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the Fort Madison area.
07/22/20 – 11:43 a.m. – Fort Madison Police cited William Paul Cochenour, 27, of Fort Madison in the 3100 block of Avenue N, on a charge of driving while barred.
07/22/20 – 2:33 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 3400 block of Avenue D.
07/22/20 – 2:37 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1100 block of Avenue E.
07/22/20 – 5:41 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 600 block of Avenue H.
07/22/20 – 23:21 p.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Lawrence Bernard Jackson, 49, of Fort Madison in the 1500 block of Avenue H., on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was released on a promise to appear.

Lee County Sheriff’s Report
07/21/20 – 6:08 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephanie Sue Allen, 48, of Des Moines, at the sheriff’s office on a warrant for failure to appear She was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.
07/22/20 – no time listed – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephen Ray Miller, 26, of Carthage, at the sheriff’s office on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.
07/22/20 – 1:45 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle/pedestrian accident in the 1500 block of Hwy. 2. According to reports a vehicle driven by Evelyn Lucille Calvert, 65, of Argyle, struck William R. Ferris, 13, of Donnellson. Calvert told deputies she didn’t see Ferris, as the incident occurred on the crest of a hill. Ferris told deputies he didn’t see the vehicle and he was taken by private vehicle to Fort Madison Community Hospital. No citations were listed on the report.

Fort Madison Fire & Rescue Report
07/21/20 – Fort Madison firefighters responded to two medical calls, two lift assists and a gas leak.
07/22/20 – Fort Madison firefighters responded to three medical and a trash fire.
