Auditor releases details for Aug. 3 office openings

LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Board of Supervisors announced Tuesday that the Lee County buildings will open to the public starting Monday, August 3, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The floor will be marked for social distancing. Masks are required.

For the North Lee County Office Building in Fort Madison, residents are asked to enter on the East side of the building. There will be a guard to take temperatures and administer COVID symptom questions. Again, masks are required. You will exit through the front door on Avenue H.

At the South Lee County Courthouse in Keokuk, only the door on 7th Street will be open. There will be a guard to take your temperature and administer COVID symptom questions. Masks are required.

Appointments are still needed to obtain your driver’s license or to obtain a car title at the treasurer's office. All other business can be conducted online or by mail. There are drop boxes at both locations for your convenience.

In Fort Madison, the box is located in the alley behind the Administration Building at 933 Avenue H. In Keokuk, outside the courthouse on 7th Street. Include your phone number on what you drop off so staff can call with any questions. You may make an appointment by calling 319-372-3405. Preference will be given to appointments. Walk-ins shall be worked in subject to precautions.

Due to the pandemic, office opening and hours may be changed at any time.
