LCHD sites 13 new COVID cases over weekend

The following is a statement issued on Monday, Aug. 10 from the Lee County Health Department in it's entirety.

LEE COUNTY - Since we last reported on Friday, August 7, 2020,13 new cases have been reported to LCHD. The following chart is our current total as of 8/10/2020. LCHD will report case count data one time per day Monday through Friday. New cases reported over the weekends will be included in a Monday update.

Due to recent increases in confirmed positive COVID-19 cases, LCHD recommends everyone to continue social distancing, wearing of face masks when in public, and increasing hygiene practices.  Avoid large crowds or gatherings of people where social distancing is not occurring and stay home when ill or have a known exposure to someone with infectious COVID-19.   We must work together to decrease the spread of this virus in our communities.
