LEE COUNTY - The Three Rivers Conservation Foundation is proud to announce it received a Small Match Grant from the Wellmark Foundation. The funds secured from this grant help the foundation reach its fundraising goal for the Pollmiller project. Lee County Conservation and Three Rivers Conservation Foundation plans to have the playground installed by next spring.
“This will be a great new addition for Pollmiller Park. With the recent campground improvements and other enhancement projects, the number of people visiting Pollmiller is increasing. The new playground will help improve the visitor experience and encourage more families to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. We appreciate everyone who has helped make this project a reality,” Nathan Unsworth, Lee County Conservation Director, said.
Three Rivers Conservation Foundation is a local non-profit that strives to help Lee County Conservation Board financially by supporting education programs and special projects. In 2019, the foundation launched the “Places to Play Campaign” to improve playgrounds at county parks. Pollmiller will be the first playground project completed through this effort.
