Daril Dewayne Hill,78, of Nauvoo, IL, passed away at 11:42 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.He was born on August 29, 1942 in Bonaparte, IA to Leo “Leroy” & Mabel Britton Hill.He married Lois D. Calvert on October 23, 1964 in Fort Madison, IA.She preceded him in death on February 11, 2017.He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 33 years and later at Roquette in Keokuk for 7 years.He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964 in Germany and was a member of the N.R.A., the Keokuk Yacht Club and the Tri-State Gun Club.He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, going to casinos and spending time with his dogs.

       Daril is survived by: 1-son: Wade (Betsy) Hill of Fort Madison, IA; his extended family, the Calvert, Butler, Hunold and Dietsch families and his brother’s families, the Hill & Bentley families.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, his wife, 1-daughter, Angela Hill & 1-brother, Larry Hill.

       Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 with a memorial service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Pete Hagglund officiating.  The family requests that masks are required and that everyone adheres to social distancing guidelines.  Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery with military rites performed by the Fort Madison Veterans Honor Guard.  A memorial has been established for P.A.W.
