HTC jayvee girls sweep WACO tourney

WAYLAND - The Holy Trinity Catholic girls jayvee volleyball team swept three games at the WACO junior varsity tournament last week.

Randolph was 30-32 serving with seven aces and had 13 digs for the Crusaders. Kayla Box led the girls at the net going 24-26 on attacks with 11 kills. Mary Kate Bendlage was 17 of 19 attacking and also had 11 kills. Randolph had eight kills on the day.

Randolph and Bendlage each recorded blocks for the 3-0 Crusaders.

In the first match HTC downed West Burlington 21-11, 21-6 and then knocked off Mediapolis 21-10, 21-14 in the semifinals, before getting Danville 21-17, 21-18 for the title.
