Central Lee girls fall to West Burlington

DONNELLSON - Central Lee's girls got off to a fast start but couldn't get out of extended play in the fourth set for 1-3 loss to visiting West Burlington Monday night.

The Lady Falcons (5-1) won 19-25, 25-20, 25-17, 26-24 dropping Central Lee to 5-3 on the year.

Mya Merschman had eight kills, five blocks, and served 15 for 15 with one ace and had seven digs. Meghan Hopp had eight kills and two blocks, served 15 for 17 with 10 digs. Zoe Eschman had six digs, three blocks, 16 assists, three aces and seven digs.

Abby Wellman had six kills and 12 digs, while Macy Watkins had five kills, nine assists, three blocks and and two digs. Makayla Morrison had five digs.

Lady Hawks plays at WACO Tuesday in another Southeast Iowa Superconference matchup.
