LEE COUNTY - Lee County Treasurer Chris Spann has announced that starting Oct. 1, you will not need an appointment to do most business in the Treasurer’s Office.

Driver’s License will still be by appointment only. You may make an appointment by calling 319-372-3405. Masks and social distancing are required.

At the Administrative Building in Fort Madison, residents are asked to enter on the east side of the building. There will be a guard to take temperatures and administer COVID symptom questions. Again, masks are required. You will exit through the front door on Avenue H.

At the courthouse in Keokuk, only the door on 7th Street will be open. There will be a guard to take temperatures and administer COVID symptom questions and masks are required.

Business can still be conducted online or by mail. There are drop boxes at both locations for your convenience. In Fort Madison, the box is located in the alley behind the Administration Building at 933 Avenue H. In Keokuk, outside the Courthouse on 7th Street. Include your phone number on what you drop off so we can call you with any questions.

Office hours are 8:30 – 4:00. Due to the pandemic, hours may be changed at any time
