Art-in-Central Park
The annual event will be held this Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. in Central Park in Fort Madison. The park, and afternoon, will be full of arts, crafts, music, food and fun. Prize are awarded to top projects and music begins at noon in the Gazebo. Breakfast will be offered starting at 9 a.m.

Green Bay Levee district meeting
The board will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Heartland Co-op in Wever.

River and Rail Trail weekend
Communities along the Mississippi River Lake Cooper will hold a series of activities this weekend to showcase their community and what it has to offer. United Way Spaghetti Dinner
The United Way of the Great River Region will be holding it's annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 28 at the Keokuk Yacht Club on 2029 River Road. Tickets are $8 and can be obtained the United Way offices in Fort Madison or Keokuk, or from board members, or on site. Dinner includes spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread, side salad and a dessert for $8.

Truth Group of Fort Madison
The church group is holding a free event on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Family Life Center at 301 24th Street in Fort Madison. An inflatable obstacle course, free food and fun will be available for kids 12 to 18. Bring a friend.

2020 Trunk or Treat
The Fort Madison YMCA's annual Trunk or Treat will be held on Oct. 23 at Baxter Sports Complex. This year's event will be a drive through event to allow for social distancing. Business will have cars in the parking lot to hand out goodies to goblins from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Set up is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Spots can be reserved by calling the Y at 319-372-2403 ext 1 or by email at ryan.wilson@fortmadisony.org

Harvest Sunset on the Pasture
Hinterland Dairy will host a sunset on the pasture on Sept. 25th and 26th beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and must be purchase in advance at https://hinterlanddairy.com/online-store. Tickets include admission for two adults, a cheeseboard with variety of cheeses, crackers and pairings. Bring a cooler with your favorite beverage or pick something up from the cheese shop.

Players Workshop Theater
The Burlington Theater will be showcasing a series of online skits beginning on Sept. 24, with Mother Goose Interrupted: This Little Piggy. Future presentations will include a musical cabaret, a reader's theater, throwback tributes and a Christmas Show. Pop Can Drive
The Fort Madison Middle School bands will hold their annual Pop Can Drive on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the FMMS. Please use the Bluff Road driveway. All redeemable cans and any size of redeemable plastic bottles will be accepted. No glass please. Proceeds are used to offset band equipment and maintenance, and for new music.

Montrose Cemetery Cleanup
All plastic flowers that are in the ground must be picked up by Nov. 1. After that date they will be discarded. In addition Memorial Day flowers will now have to be picked up no later than two weeks after the holiday.

Halloween Dinner and Comedy
The Kingsley Inn will be featuring a Halloween Dinner and Comedy on Oct. 31 beginning at with a social hour at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m, with the show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and can be booked in advance by texting 309-221-9803
