Two arrested on meth charges in Fort Madison

FORT MADISON - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of two Fort Madison residents on misdemeanor drug charges.

BOWER

Kevin Bower, 60, of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested on September 16th, 2020 at his residence in the 300 Block 12th St. in Fort Madison.
Bower is charged with Prohibited Acts-Maintaining a Drug House an Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor.

Authorities also arrested Jessica Bower, 30, of Fort Madison as the same residence.
Bower is charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine more than 5 grams within 1,000 feet of a Public School a Class B Felony; Violation of Drug Tax Stamp a Class D Felony; Prohibited Acts-Maintaining a Drug House an Aggravated Misdemeanor; 3 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense, each an Aggravated Misdemeanor; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor.
The arrests stem from an ongoing investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force of narcotics being used and delivered at Bower’s home and Fort Madison officers responding to a call for service at the residence.
The Fort Madison Police Department, Lee County Attorney’s Office, and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
The defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
