Central Lee eases past Cardinal in three sets

ELDON - Meghan Hopp was a perfect 15-of-15 serving with an ace and eight kills to help lead the Lady Hawks in straight sets over Cardinal Thursday night.

Central Lee moves to 3-3 in the Southeast Iowa Superconference South Division and 18-6 overall with the 25-15, 25-9, 25-16 win.

Mya Merschman had nine kills, three blocks and served 15 of 15 with eight digs.

Abby Wellman had eight kills, while Makayla Morrison and Zoe Eschman had seven and six, respectively. Eschman had five aces on the night on 11 of 12 serving. Macy Watkins had 30 assists and four blocks on the night.

Central Lee hosts Danville on Thursday in another Southeast Iowa Superconference matchup.
