Bloodhounds go 2-1 at Durant tourney

DURANT - The Fort Madison Bloodhounds volleyball team went 2-1 at the Durant Invitational on Saturday.

The Lady Hounds downed Davenport West 25-10, 25-14 and Durant 25-19, 12-25 and 15-11, but lost to Maquoketa 16-25, 18-25.

At the one-day tournament, Reyna Lampe led the way at the net with 12 kills, followed by Kailyn Guzman with 10. Alaina Simpson and Logan Johnson each had seven kills and Lauren King had five.

Lauren Bailey had 26 assists and Kendall Beebe had 11. Madison Pirri was 30 of 31 serving with seven aces on the day. Lampe went 20 of 21 with four aces.

Nadia Boeding had 30 digs followed by Lampe's 14. Ally Helmick and Taylor Barnes each had a dozen digs on the day.

The Bloodhounds are 9-14 on the year and played at Mt. Pleasant Tuesday in Day 2 of the conference tournament.
